Our LG K41S review concludes this phone as a choice for photography and multimedia lovers. Its quad-camera and battery are the major selling point.
LG K41S smartphone was released in April 2020. Featuring a large screen with a sleek modern design, this phone looks like it’s not a budget model. Technically yes, it lies more within the mid-range category.
The price is still affordable. And there is more value you can get than in a cheaper model. The large display is one thing. But soon you’ll find out about the quad-camera.
It’s one of the phone’s strong points. Additionally, expect a large battery with LG K41S with 4,000mAh in capacity. The phone also has a slightly bigger RAM than average at 3GB.
Running on the latest Android 10, there’s more to discover on this LG K41S review. Let’s take a look into its design, performance, and other aspects.

Design
LG K41S is striking for its beautiful design. Easily noticeable at the first glance, you’ll know it isn’t cheap. This phone is quite sizable, with 165.8 x 76.5 x 8.3m in height, width, and thickness. It also feels solid on the hands due to its 191.7g weight.
It not only just gives the impression of toughness. LG K41S is actually a strongly built device. It is certified with a military-grade standard called MIL-STD-810. The phone passed the tests for rigorous conditions, including extreme temperature, humidity, and shocks. This is the kind of phone you won’t have to worry about when you bring it while hiking in nature.
LG K41S is not ignoring aesthetics despite the build quality. It is tall and slim, sitting beautifully on hands, and is practical too. Despite its big size, you can still browse around easily with one hand. The curved edges make sure the phone is comfortable to hold.
The back cover is clean with clutter-less items arranged in a particular order. You’ll see all four cameras neatly arranged horizontally. We applaud this placement because often phones would look too bulky with many cameras. LG K41S is doing a good job of keeping things small and simple.
The front area is equally attractive. The screen is expansive and LG K41S keeps the bezels thin surrounding it. We will state again that this phone is far from looking cheap. It would be a handheld you are proud to carry every day.

Display
LG K41S comes with a massive 6.5-inch LCD display with a Full Vision design. The display resolution is 1600 x 720, with a 20:9 ratio and 270 PPI pixel density.
These display specs put LG K41S’s screen in the HD+ category. It’s a phone where you can enjoy high-definition pictures and videos. It might sound great at first, but looking at the phone’s price, we’d like to get a Full HD display instead.
That way, the quality would match the price. a Full HD display offers crisper images and a brighter screen in various lighting situations. The phone’s screen will do better outdoors too.
Don’t worry, it’s still a good screen and there are no pixelated icons or texts on LG K41S. The size is satisfactory as well. At 6.5-inch, the display also has rounded corners for smoother viewing frames. Watching anything on full screen is a treat to the eyes.
The frames or the bezels are narrow, hence it’s not distracting. It’s not the same thing with the notch, however. Sometimes we hope the notch can be more subtle.
If the body of LG K41S is built for strength, so is the display. The screen comes with a scratch-resistant coating to protect from minor damage. Having a bigger screen does mean an extra worry. But with Gorilla Glass protection, at least you can get a more durable display.
Camera
LG K41S packs an incredible mobile photography setup consisting of four cameras (Quad-camera.) The main lens is a 13MP shooter with enhanced autofocus technology called PDAF. Buyers will also get a 5MP ultra-wide camera.
Further, the third camera is for macro (2MP.) The last installment is a 2MP depth lens. All these four cameras work in tandem to give users more options with their photos. For customers passionate about mobile photography but limited with a budget, LG K41S is a good option.
One of the major advantages of the camera on LG K41S is its depth lens. With it, you can take a professional-looking bokeh photo that has a blurred background. The wide-angle camera is great too since it will help with things like zooming in and out.
The picture results are worth sharing with friends on social media. Most of the time, they are decent, especially in a well-lit environment. There’s a hint of struggle on keeping the overexposure low and the dynamic range not too wide. Sometimes pictures come out washed out and the colors don’t pop as well.
Another thing worth mentioning is the video recording capability. LG K41S records Full HD 30fps videos with both its rear and front cameras. The front camera, at 8MP, is also a decent selfie shooter.

Storage
For storing files, LG K41S comes with a built-in 32GB internal storage. We have a mixed LG K41S review on this. The storage is supposed to be decent. However, knowing LG and their tendency to put on custom software, the available number can get reduced significantly. This is something a potential buyer should be aware of with LG phones.
Additionally, this phone also has a dedicated slot for a microSD card. That way, you can add more space to the phone whenever you need it. The maximum capacity is the highest you can find in the market at 2TB.
Performance
LG K41S is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek chipset coupled with 3GB RAM. The CPU itself has a 2GHz frequency speed. Combined with a good capacity on the RAM, LG K41S can be a solid performer. It also has the latest Android 10.
LG K41S focuses on being a reliable device catering to users’ day-to-day needs. Brand new, the phone performs smoothly when launching apps and moving between screens. The RAM provides more room for multitasking. You can use LG K41S for many tasks at once.
Speaking from experience, a MediaTek processor is typically inferior to its Qualcomm counterparts. We got a report on how jitters occasionally occur on LG K41S. These issues are minor and easy to overlook. It doesn’t interfere much with whatever main operation the phone is handling at the time.
LG K41S is also a great phone to watch movies. Not just because of the display, this device also comes with a good speaker. The DTS:X Virtual Surround will make you ditch the earphone and just blast the speaker. Although, if you prefer an earphone, there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack available.
This phone also comes with a fingerprint lock. You don’t have to worry about securing your LG K41S. The reader is located at the back. It’s slightly up there but is still reachable by the index finger. Apart from the fingerprint sensor, there are also Accelerometer, Gyroscope, and Compass.
Moving our attention to the software, we have mentioned Android 10 as the phone’s operating system. It comes with LG UX too, the custom user interfaces by the manufacturer. Just like the exterior (the hardware), the software is sleek. It looks beautiful and isn’t confusing to navigate.
You can immediately use the phone straight out of its box. Apps like the ones from Google are pre-installed. There
Connectivity
LG K41S supports a wide range of network bands, most importantly 4G. A capable device in the area of connectivity, we’re sure you won’t encounter any problems with calling, chatting, and internet browsing. Coupled with decent RAM and CPU, this phone brings you information with as fast as 150Mbps download speed on 4G.
Many budget phones opt-out of NFC on their specs, but not LG K41S. With this phone, you can use the phone for contactless payment or boarding passes. Basically, to communicate with other devices without Wi-Fi or cables.
Additionally, you can use Bluetooth for more continuous data transfer, like broadcasting music to a speaker. There are also Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, and GPS for more means of connecting and location finding.
Battery
The 4,000mAh battery on LG K41S is a major advantage this phone has. It is very long-lasting and we consider it to be above average compared to its peers. Fully charged, you can reach two days even under heavy use.
This battery is non-removable. It is one of our favorite parts of the phone. It does make LG K41S a bit heavier, but in return, we got an all-day battery. Charging is also quite fast even without any quick-charging feature.
Is the LG K41S a good phone?
LG K41S is for customers wanting an affordable phone but with some pluses. The quad-camera is a steal for a phone that costs $260. On installment, you only need to pay $5 a month for two years. It’s even a more economical choice.
Apart from the quad-camera, the highlights of this LG K41S review include the battery. It comes with a 4,000mAh capacity and guarantees you to be staying connected all day. We also like the spacious display, the decent performance, and the good build quality.
